On the occasion of the International Women’s Day on March 8, 2020, television news channel ABP Ganga organised a programme in Lucknow to felicitate women who have excelled in their chosen fields.
The women were honoured for their contribution by Swati Singh, Women and Child Development Minister in the Government of Uttar Pradesh; Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Member of Parliament from the Prayagraj constituency; and Samyukta Bhatia, Mayor of Lucknow.
Among the women felicitated were Suman Adhikari, CEO of NGO Chesta in Kathgodam and Preeti Bhandari, a mushroom farmer from Almora. Both of them were part of Udhyam’s cohort on entrepreneurship.
